East Central Ontario Training Board: Local Labour Market Plan Breakfast

Join Us for Local Labour Market Plan Breakfast

Developing an understanding of the workforce challenges that local employers and job seekers face can only be done with the input of employers, Chambers of Commerce, Economic Development, business associations and key community organizations. Through collaboration with these groups, the East Central Ontario Training Board (ECOTB) can help determine the best way to invest resources into local workforce development.

Over the past year, numerous conversations have taken place involving employers and organizations around the issues identified.
The 2018 Local Labour Market Plan (LLMP) will centre around these conversations and identify strategies to address what has come forward.

  • How are businesses doing locally?
  • Is the labour force able to address local needs?
  • What needs to be done?

The 2018 Local Labour Market Plan is available on the ECOTB Website.

7:00 AM               Doors Open

Understanding Your Taxes: Understanding your entitlements

Posted on

The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) is hosting a seminar to help owners of small unincorporated businesses better understand their business taxes.

This means you will spend less time, effort and money trying to figure out your entitlements and obligations, and avoid common errors.

During this seminar, the Liaison Officer will:

  • Explain general bookkeeping concepts and best practices
  • Explain common tax errors
  • Demonstrate how to use financial benchmarks for relevant industries
  • Provide information on the CRA’s services

This seminar is best suited if you:

  • Have business, professional, rental, and/or commission income
  • Are not currently working with a liaison officer

A visit from a Liasion Officer does not constitute an audit, and will not result in the CRA making reassessment to past tax filings.

Start:  1:00 PM
End:   4:00 PM

Location:
Small Business Centre
284-B Wallbridge-Loyalist Road
Belleville, ON   K8N 4Z5
