About this event
Join us as we dare to do things differently.
Power up your growth
The economic recovery has brought new challenges for Canadian entrepreneurs. High on the list are inflation, worker shortages and supply chain challenges. Can we find better ways of working? Certainly. Business owners are finding ways to succeed despite these challenges. They are also making their businesses more inclusive and sustainable, while driving the Canadian economy. See how it’s being done, as we all celebrate the passion, daring and impact of Canada’s dreamers and doers during BDC Small Business Week 2022.
The purpose of the week is to highlight the importance of Small and Medium sized companies to the Canadian and local economies and this year it is more vital than ever.
The Bay of Quinte’s Small Business Week will run from October 17 to October 21. Small and medium sized enterprises (SME’s) make up 99.7% of the companies in Canada and employ close to 90% of all private sector workers. Every year the Business Development Bank of Canada takes a lead role in promoting this event and this year they have themed the whole week “Dare to do things differently. Power up your growth.”
Brett Prikker, Manager, Business Centre will be speaking on behalf of BDC for the Kick Off event.
Monday through to Friday there are workshops being offered to the local business community all designed to help businesses access the information they need to maximize their efforts to grow and develop. Some of the workshops will be hybrid workshops so it will be available to give attendees the choice of how they would like to attend. There is no cost to attend these workshops or seminars.
On Tuesday there will be a “Regional Mega Mingle” at the Shannonville Motorsport Park networking with your peers from the Bay of Quinte Region.
So let’s see the opportunity to learn, share ideas, engage with knowledgeable speakers, have discussions and network with your peers.
