This presentation aims to assist Liquor Licence holders or applicants of Special Occasion Permits in gaining a comprehensive understanding of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario’s role and the compliance requirements under the Liquor Licence and Control Act and its Regulations. Jade Leadbetter, an expert in the field, will provide valuable insights and guidance to ensure that participants are well-equipped to navigate the regulatory landscape effectively.

Participants will have an opportunity to strengthen their understanding of JEDI and how it contributes to innovation. They will also learn how to spot various forms of discrimination and prejudice and learn how to respond to these appropriately. Central to this work will be growing understanding of gender and gender-based violence as it is experienced by women, girls, and members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community. The responses to prejudice and violence that participants will learn will be respectful of the person experiencing the prejudice as well as the person enacting (saying, doing, etc.) the discrimination. Participants will have an opportunity to practice these skills by working through a variety of scenarios.

Join us as we hear from Todd Smith, MPP Bay of Quinte Riding, Ontario’s Minister of Energy.
For over 25 years, Todd Smith has been a trusted voice in Quinte. A father of two, the Riverview, N.B. native and Loyalist College graduate spent 16 years in radio journalism at Quinte Broadcasting.
At Queen’s Park, Smith has represented Prince Edward-Hastings from 2011-2018 and Bay of Quinte from 2018 on. He has filled several cabinet posts in the Ford government, including his current post as Minister of Energy.
The province is currently facing multiple issues, with labour shortages, a significant lack of affordable housing, shortage of family physicians, just to name a few. This is your opportunity to listen to our riding’s Member of Provincial Parliament as he shares the plans from the province moving forward.
