Bay of Quinte Business Week: Base 31 Walk Through History and Plan Across Generations

Joined by Edward Jones, on day 4 of BoQ Small Business week we’ll Walk Through History and Plan Across Generations. Built in 1940, Base31 is the only intact World War II air base in Canada. We’ll start with a tour of the on-site museum, featuring one of just seven remaining Lancaster Bombers.

Following the tour, Leader and Senior Wealth Consultant Tracey McLennan, will share her insights on planning across generations, including the value of family meetings and different ways to structure them. She’ll also discuss barriers to open family communication and consequences when there is a lack of communication. The “Not A Trade Show” Business Expo is happening again this year on Wednesday, October 24th, 2024! This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with local businesses in a fast-paced, engaging format. Businesses will have the undivided attention of their peers and colleagues as they deliver their ‘3-minute’ pitch.

Imagine speed networking meets elevator pitch, to create a fantastic opportunity to connect with local businesses! And discover how diverse and dynamic the region’s small business community is.

Businesses will have the undivided attention of their peers and colleagues as they deliver their ‘3-minute’ pitch.
The day will be organized into ‘segments’ of approximately 10 3-minute presentations followed by brief networking opportunities. Then we will do it all over again. This allows our participants to efficiently introduce their business, while still having time to build connections. One presenter during each session will receive a ‘Thairific’ prize!

Scheduling will be done on a first-come, first-served basis, But if your availability is limited, we will do our best to accommodate your timeline.

The focus on brief, impactful presentations along with the option to display promotional materials like brochures or rack cards adds a valuable touch for showcasing products or services. Staying for the day would certainly allow for more opportunities to network and foster deeper relationships within the small business community.
