This full day virtual event will feature diverse panel discussions, candid sessions and spotlights on female entrepreneurship, inclusive recovery in the workplace, women’s mental health and transitioning of women into high-demand jobs in high-demand sectors, including recruitment, retraining, retention and promotion.
This is not a women’s issue; it is an economic issue.
Ensuring women have opportunities to fully participate in Canada’s economy is essential for widespread job creation and sustained economic growth. As the most activated business network in the country we all have a key role to play in taking action, making the changes needed, empowering women and fostering stronger communities across the country.
Join women across Canada for “Restarting, Reimagining, Accelerating and Recuperating: Women in the Post-Pandemic Era” hosted by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce.
84% of people say they’ve been convinced to buy a product or service by watching a brand’s video.
In spite of this, too many small and local businesses are resisting making video for their online and social media marketing.
Why? Small business owners think they need an expensive camera, lights and microphone to make videos.
But nothing could be further from the truth. Small businesses can get started making client attracting video using a tool they already own – their smartphone. Even if they don’t want to dance. Even if they don’t sell physical products.
In this workshop you’ll learn:
• 9 places to include video on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn (I’ll be you haven’t thought of at least two of them) • How to make videos in less time • What to say on camera – even if you sell a service • 3 types of faceless videos for the camera shy
The world around us is uncertain. A supply chain works for a time, then stops, leaving businesses scrambling for parts. Product commercialization can be long, costly and discovery is uncertain. The promise of machine learning and artificial intelligence is to reduce those uncertainties but breaking into this world can be daunting. How can manufacturers get started?
In this session, we will draw from the expertise of BDO and the shop-floor experience of Nova Chemicals to draw a roadmap for adoption.
Join us to learn more about:
• How leading manufacturers currently leverage data and machine learning to accelerate innovation, forecasting and continuous improvement. • A step-by-step guide to adopting new technologies, including available programs to help fund them and hiring the right expertise. • What the next frontier for the smart factory is and how can it deliver a lasting competitive advantage for companies.
SPEAKERS • Paul Dostaler, Industry Lead, Manufacturing, BDO Lixar • David Lyford, Manager, Production Center of Excellence, Nova Chemicals • Vincent Caron, Director, Policy & Ontario Government Relations, CME (Moderator)
