Outcomes for the participants:

  • Learn the planning and directing skills they need to delegate effectively
  • By completing, participants will be able to:

    1. Clearly define performance expectations for job assignments they want to delegate
    2. Identify an appropriate performer by matching their skill to the skill required for the assignment and identify any risks associated with that performer
    3. Prepare a delegation plan tailored to the chosen performer
    4. Clearly communicate expectations and express confidence in the performer
    5. Uncover the performer’s misunderstanding and/or concerns about the assignment
    6. Gain the performer’s commitment to the assignment
    7. Ask the right questions when a task is delegated to them to ensure greater succes

Small Business Centre: Winter Survival Workshops – Using Photography and Design to Promote Your Business – Part 1

Our presenters Ruth Gangbar and Christopher Gentile collectively offer more than 50 years of professional experience, providing their own twist to hand-on photography workshops.

You will:

  • Learn tips, techniques and principles of photography and design to create seamless, contemporary and unique print and web assets.
  • See composition and styling demonstrated using natural light, select props and surfaces.  Learn to use simple tools for shaping and controlling light
  • Take part in a hands on, small group tutorial, using your own products.  Learn tips to help create a personal brand.

What you Need to Bring:

  • Digital camera (preferably a SLR type) with extra batteries OR an iPhone or iPad
  • Tripod recommended
  • Laptop optional
  • Samples of goods that represent your company

Due to limited space, participants are restricted to a few items only! 

They should be light enough to carry upstairs; small enough to fit on a card-table.
