Belleville Chamber of Commerce: Chamber Breakfast with Warren Shepell

Posted on

Join us as we welcome guest speaker Warren Shepell. Mr. Shepell is a Canadian Psychologist and Human Resources Counsultant and will be discussing examples of the challenges in employer/employee relations; the legislation guiding them and what can happen when an employer/business does not comply.

This will be particularly relevant to the small business owner without a human resources specialist or staff.

In a time where legislation protecting employees seems to be changing daily, we hope you’ll find this topic relevant and offer you some key guidelines and access to resources.

Ontario Chamber of Commerce: Ontario’s Next Compeitive Advantage – Championing the Health & Life Sciences Sector

Posted on

The Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC) is pleased to invite you to

Ontario’s Next Competitive Advantage

`Championing the Health & Life Sciences Sector as Essential to Our Economy`

MAKING THE HEALTH AND LIFE SCIENCES SECTOR ESSENTIAL TO OUR ECONOMY
The diverse health and life sciences sector is aligned with evergreen government priorities such as strengthening the health care system, creating high-paying jobs, “greening” our environment, and developing the knowledge economy.
While Ontario has a growing competitive advantage in this sector, government does not yet view the life sciences as essential to our economy.

On May 10, join participants from industry, research, and services to frame Ontario’s health and life sciences sector as a competitive advantage and help develop an effective sector narrative.

Featuring a keynote address from Dr. Molly Shoichet, Ontario’s first Chief Scientist.
