Dharmini (Dee) Thiru was born in SriLanka; lived a complicated childhood (civil war, abuse, homelessness), and graduated with a bunch of degrees, feeling completely unequipped to adult in real life. Her first career was as an elementary school teacher in the Peel Region. Her Kindergarten students inspired Dharmini to re-think her beliefs, values, lifestyle and ideas. The universe then gave Dharmini the “just right” push to take life-altering steps to pave her own path as an entrepreneur.
Dharmini dived head first into an endeavour she knew nothing about. She found entrepreneurship 100% addictive and all-consuming. Everything she learned, mastered, struggled with and was defeated by was equally exhilarating. Now located in the Bay of Quinte, Dharmini is the founder/co-founder of a handful of brands including Beauty Barlour (an online entrepreneurial platform) and Skin Theorist Co. (a company manifested to make holistic care inclusive and accessible to transform skin and skin attitudes). Dharmini’s brands are part of her evolving blueprint for a holistic wellness platform.
