WSIB Health and Safety Symposium – Kingston

Where: Portsmouth Olympic Harbour, 53 Yonge Street, Kingston

Local representatives from the four sector based Health and Safety Associations, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) and the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development (MLITSD) will be collaborating to provide a morning of Health and Safety news and information. There will be an opportunity to network as well with other people attending the session.

8:00am – Opening remarks – Joel Moody, Chief Prevention Officer and Executive representatives for the safety associations
8:30am – Session 1: MLITSD – Stats, trends and initiative’s – includes mining, construction, industrial and healthcare
9:30am – Networking break
9:45am – Session 2: WSIB – Why should I invest in Health and Safety? John Carr from WSIB will start this session with an introduction why a business should invest in health and safety followed with a question and answer exercise.
