During the day, 150 students from across Belleville and the Quinte region will be welcomed to Loyalist College for a day of hands-on learning and exploration of careers in the skilled construction trades. Students will connect with local employers, industry professionals, and community stakeholders to learn about career pathways and opportunities available both within our community and beyond.

Quinte Home Builders’ Association and community partners will be hosting a Public Event between 5- 7 p.m. at Loyalist College – Gym 2. Community members will have the opportunity to learn about career opportunities and pathways in the residential construction sector, hear from QHBA Certified Members and partner organizations regarding career pathways and stories from those in the field. There will be guided tours conducted each half hour of the Skills Centre at Loyalist College.

This event is led by Quinte Home Builder’s Association (QHBA) in partnership with CFWD, Loyalist College, OYAP, Algonquin & Lakeshore and HPE District School Board and the City of Belleville.

A lifelong Bay of Quinte resident, Tyler Allsopp was elected as Bay of Quinte MPP in a by-election Sept. 19, 2024 and re-elected in a general election Feb. 27, 2025.

He currently serves as the Parliamentary Assistant to Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade Victor Fedeli. His portfolio includes a focus on life sciences, innovation, and emerging technologies.

Prior to running provincially, Allsopp served as councillor in the City of Belleville. A Bayside Secondary School alumnus who studied business marketing at St. Lawrence College, Allsopp spent nearly 12 years as a small business owner/operator at Doug’s Bicycle in Belleville.

Allsopp lives in Belleville with his wife Jennifer and their three daughters.

A trusted, visionary, values-based Ontario health care leader, Stacey Daub is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of Quinte Health. Before taking the helm at Quinte Health, Stacey was the Vice President, Strategy, Integration and Digital Health at North York General Hospital, an urban hospital known for its exceptional quality, research and teaching. Prior to this, Stacey was the President and CEO of Headwaters Health Care Centre, where she helped to co-design the Hills of Headwaters collaborative, a first-generation Ontario Health Team. Prior to that, Stacey was the CEO of the Toronto Central Community Care Access Centre, recognized for its groundbreaking work in home and community care.
