The Government of Canada remains committed to supporting Canadian businesses and organizations in the face of the ongoing pandemic. To this end, COVID-19 Recovery Programs continue to provide support to Canadian businesses and organizations. On Tuesday, December 21, 2021, applications opened for the Canada Recovery Hiring Program, the Tourism and Hospitality Recovery Program and the Hardest-Hit Business Recovery Program.

These measures will ensure that the hardest-hit sectors will continue to receive the support they need while also supporting a strong economic recovery.

Before being elected as MP, Ryan was President of Williams Hotels and a City Councillor for the City of Belleville.

As a councillor, Ryan was instrumental in starting Belleville’s Pop-Ups on the Bay, as well as its Economic and Destination Development Committee in Belleville, as Chair.

His life experience from his formative years in the travel, hospitality and tourism sector has shown him the value of customer service, which helps him better serve constituents in the Bay of Quinte Riding.
Ryan is Past-President of Bay of Quinte Tourism and the Bay of Quinte Living Council. Ryan is the Past-Chair and Founder of QuinteVation which aimed to develop a more innovative Bay of Quinte.

Ryan is a strong believer in volunteerism and has spent a large part of his life helping charity and causes in our community. He has been recognized for his commitment with: the Business Volunteer of the Year award (2015), Paul Harris Fellow from Rotary International, and a Canada 150 Community recipient (2017).

Ryan is married to Allyson and together they have three children: Jack, Patrick, and Zooey.
