Get ready for a turbo-charged networking experience! Join us during small business week as we blend the energy of speed networking with the impact of an elevator pitch. It’s not your typical trade show; no banners, table cloths, or swag required. Instead, seize the spotlight to share your story, your business and how people can get connected with you.
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 18 3:00PM – 4:30PM Location TBD
This presentation aims to assist Liquor Licence holders or applicants of Special Occasion Permits in gaining a comprehensive understanding of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario’s role and the compliance requirements under the Liquor Licence and Control Act and its Regulations. Jade Leadbetter, an expert in the field, will provide valuable insights and guidance to ensure that participants are well-equipped to navigate the regulatory landscape effectively.
The presentation includes topics such as integrating money positively into your life, exploring the concept of Time and Money, strategies for cash flow and net worth, and the advantages of compound interest, followed by a 10-minute Q&A session.
Participants will have an opportunity to strengthen their understanding of JEDI and how it contributes to innovation. They will also learn how to spot various forms of discrimination and prejudice and learn how to respond to these appropriately. Central to this work will be growing understanding of gender and gender-based violence as it is experienced by women, girls, and members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community. The responses to prejudice and violence that participants will learn will be respectful of the person experiencing the prejudice as well as the person enacting (saying, doing, etc.) the discrimination. Participants will have an opportunity to practice these skills by working through a variety of scenarios.

Join CCEW on October 18 from 1pm – 5pm Hybrid EVENT
Our third community event will begin with a panel discussion that will spotlight multi-stakeholder partnerships that have taken bold steps to promote gender equality through inclusion, diversity, equity and access solutions (IDEAS).
Following the panel, participants will be introduced to the 50 – 30 Challenge and to the What Works Tool Kit, before engaging in the #IDEAS4GE Innovation Challenge to advance the full participation of women (in all their diversity) in the workplace, in business, and in communities across Canada.
Inspired by the panel’s insights and the lived experiences of participants from diverse stakeholder groups, the #IDEAS4GE Innovation Challenge initiates collaborative solution-building to accelerate gender equality in leadership, on boards, in trades, STEM, and entrepreneurial endeavours.
