DEADLINE to Submit Starter Company Grant Application – July 10

2020 Starter Company Plus grant –
APPLICATIONS OPEN Monday JUNE 22 and close Friday JULY 10

The 2020 Applications will be accepted from Monday June 22 to Friday July 10, 2020. Please note that any application received prior to the opening date will not be accepted.

See below for application and the eligibility guidelines

Any businesses that is starting out or expanding is eligible to apply for this grant. The business must be registered in the areas of Hastings County, Prince Edward County, Lennox & Addington County, Quinte West or Belleville.

Priority consideration will be given to:

  1. Will be or have been developing new market opportunities as a result of the COVID 19 situation
  2. Require a rework of physical space to meet COVID 19 reopening regulations
  3. Faced financial challenges due to the COVID 19 situation and will require additional marketing

Please review ALL documents below to see how your business fits grant requirements to ensure you are ready to apply. All four documents below will require a signed copy with your application.

Small Business Centre: CRA Discusses Canada’s COVID-19 Economic Response Plan

CRA is hosting a webinar on a few of the tax measures that have been put in place due to COVID-19.

The Government of Canada is taking immediate, significant and decisive action to support Canadians and businesses facing hardship as a result of the global COVID-19 outbreak.

Canada Revenue Agency is now offering online information sessions for self-employed, small businesses and non-profit on Canada’s COVID-19 Economic Response Plan on topics such as:

  • Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy (CEWS)
  • Temporary 10% Wage Subsidy
  • Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB)
